Full Day Immersion in Hypnotherapy (Introductory level) with Amanda Handel

Over the Day of Immersion in hypnotherapy

*you will learn a lot about the mind/body interplay and gain fresh perspectives,

*you will experience deep relaxation and emotional transformation,

*you will leave empowered by your new knowledge and rich experience,

*you will be introduced to the basic techniques of self-hypnosis.

What to bring:

* Notebook &/or journal, plus pen(s), * a water bottle

*Yoga mat or camping foam roll for the final lying down sessions of the day.

If lying on the floor is problematic, I can provide a deep reclining futon chair for one person. Alternatively, feel free to recline in one of the arm chairs in the room.

A small pillow/cushion, some warm socks & a light blanket or covering for the final lying down sessions.

Please note: you will receive a booklet for your future reference. Morning & afternoon breaks with coffee, teas and food are provided.

To Prepare: you are invited to focus on a problem you’d like to dissolve, or a goal you wish to achieve. Please communicate your intention with me privately via email or by phone when booking. I will keep your information strictly in confidence.  There’s no need to share any personal content with the group, but feel free to do so if you choose to.

In this way, hypnotherapy is very different from traditional talking therapies. It works because the changes take place rapidly inside your mind and the nervous system is re-wired accordingly. If no issues or goals in particular come to mind, that’s perfect! You’ll be free and open to accommodate new perspectives and gain valuable knowledge on how to maintain your health & well-being. 

As the day unfolds you’ll notice new insights emerging. I strongly encourage you to write them out by hand as soon as they come to light.

You will receive an 18 minute hypnotic recording (sent by email) one week before the session to help prepare your mindset for the day of immersion.

PROGRAM TIMETABLE

10.00 – 11.15: Welcome & greetings

An introduction to modern hypnotherapy along with an explanation of the nature and function of the unconscious mind.

11.15 - 11.45: Morning tea break -  plunger coffee, and a selection of teas is served with light sweet & savoury snacks in the kitchen. GF & soy milk included. Please let me know of any extra dietary restrictions.

11.45 - 1.00: Morning session continues. We explore the state of trance and play with some simple practical exercises including breathwork.

1.00 - 2.00: Lunch hour

Lunch is not provided. Katoomba’s cafes are just a few minutes’ walking distance. Alternatively, you can bring your own lunch to enjoy in the park across the road, or sit on the front veranda.

2.00 - 3.30: Mid-afternoon session

Learning about the power of language and word choice, leading towards designing the exact wording you’ll give your unconscious mind in hypnosis. I’ll guide you into a hypnotic induction by inducing deep relaxation to prepare you for embedding your desired changes into your unconscious mind later in the afternoon. If you don’t have any particularly pressing problems or goals, this is your perfect opportunity to embark on a creative project, personal development or a new career/business venture.

3.30 - 3.50: Short afternoon tea break - includes checking on and refining your individual wording for the directions you have prepared for your unconscious mind. This can be done with me in private, or with the group if you choose to share.

3.50 – 5.40: Late afternoon session - includes two inductions (lying down)

In the First Induction- accompanied by sound track and active imagination - I will lead you into an experience of deep meditation and relaxation. This creates the conditions needed for the unconscious mind to be receptive to your new specific directions. You will be forging a new and powerful partnership within yourself.

I will be guiding your body to find complete rest as your mind suspends its critical faculty, thus opening the channel to communicate with your unconscious mind and get it working on-side with you delivering the changes you want.

In the Second Induction - accompanied by a different sound track and active imagination - your unconscious mind will be directed to step-up activity in these ways 1. to boost your immune system and general health, 2. to deepen your sleep, 3. to dissolve anxiety through while implementing everything you’ve learnt over the day.

5.40 - 6.00: Enjoy the relaxed state you’re in lying down. Wind down and reflect on your new perspectives. Finally wake up!

Over the full-day program, you’ll have learnt the techniques of self-hypnosis through exploring the state of self-induced trance. Your unconscious mind will be already at work changing your deep programming. You’ll become highly focused and motivated on what you really and truly want for yourself.

I will be guiding and supporting you every step of the way. Despite the work being of a life-changing nature, it is full of lightness and often a bit of fun!
